Frequently asked questions we come across from both potential and existing clientele. Take a look around!

Please ReadPlease be mindful that all faces are naturally asymmetrical. We will be working together to create a shape that fits your unique facial structure. We request that all clients carefully examine and approve each prewar before beginning the the tattooing procedure. All tattoos are permanent and results may very dependent on client's skin type, body chemistry, lifestyle, age, health, diet, sun exposure, and/or compliance with pre/after care. Ombre tattoos are a 2-part service: the Initial Session and the REQUIRED Touch Up. The touch up should be booked within 5-13 days from the client's initial session. (Pre-booking is strongly advised). Exceeding that time frame will require additional payments. However, if the required touch up is booked beyond 6 months from the initial session, the appointment will be rejected and/or charged in full as another session. Please, please book accordingly. It is the client's responsibility to book necessary appointments in a timely manner. Photos, videos and audio taken before, during, and after your procedures will be owned by Studio Modish, LLC., and may be used for promotional/marketing purposes on our social media, website, and/or other business related platforms. Prices, policies and promotions are subject to change at anytime. All transactions are final for all services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone!

Payments, Deposit, Forfeit Of DepositA non-refundable deposit is required to book your appointment and will count towards your full balance for the service(s) the day of. Remaining balance will be due the day of your appointment. Upon booking your appointment date and time, you will receive an invoice for the required deposit to confirm your service. Deposit is required to be submitted within 24 hours of receiving the Deposit Invoice. Rescheduling within 1 week of your appointment will forfeit your deposit. All Clients are limited to 2 reschedules outside of the 1 week time frame. If you are rescheduling your required Touch Up, it must not exceed 6 month from initial session. Reschedules will be based on current availability and pricing. Arriving to your appointment with old tattoos without email with photos prior for approval will automatically forfeit your deposit and cancel your appointment. A new appointment will be require to rebook. If you’re more than 20 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will automatically be cancelled for the day and your deposit will be forfeited. This rule will be strictly enforced. (Please consider traffic or any other variables that may occur. Tardiness leads to postponing all of my appointments, and it is unfair to my other clients. Please consider everyone’s time.) Thank you for your understanding! Clients who no-show, cancel, or reschedule the day of their appointment will automatically have their deposit forfeited, charged the remaining FULL balance of the service(s), and will not be allowed to book again.

Appointment PrepClients are required to present valid ID at their appointments. Clients will be required to fill out Health/Consent forms prior to all services. Please respect our no extra guests policy as the environment is not ideal for small children, pets, or waiting guests due to lengthy procedure times, which can be uncomfortable/distracting for your guests and for myself. If an exception needs to be made, please contact me beforehand. If a translator is needed to help assist you in filling out paperwork, please kindly notify me beforehand, and understand that the translator (if applicable) will then have to leave once check-in is complete. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please notify me immediately so accommodations can be made. Do not pick, tweeze, wax, thread, or perform electrolysis before the procedure. Do not tan prior to your appointment. Please come to your appointment with bare eyebrows. However, if you would like me to reference your desired eyebrows to your go-to brows it is acceptable to come with eyebrow makeup. Avoid any type of facials/botox/injections one month prior to your appointment. Discontinue use of chemical peels, topical medications (if safe do not use), Retinol, Vitamin A Creams, and/or exfoliant at least 3 months prior to appointment. Do not work out the day of your appointment. Do not take Fish Oil, Vitamin Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or pain relievers (they are blood thinners). Do not wax/tint your brows prior to your appointment. Do not drink alcohol, coffee, tea, soda (or any alcoholic/ caffeinated beverages) 24-48 hrs before your appointment.

What Is The Process Of The Treatment Like?During the treatment, I will create superficial minor-injuries to the outermost layer of the skin to include new collagen production.

How Long Is One Session?Typically, a session lasts about one hour depending on the client and how much hair is being treated may prolong the time needed.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?Achieving the desired results can take 1-2 sessions, not including the required touch up. This is depending on a couple factors such as the type of stretch marks and your skin's natural ability to repair itself after an initiated wound.

Immediate AfterCare TipsTreated areas are considered as an open wound. Therefore you must do the following after procedure has been done: Wash hands with soap before touching the treated area Wear clean clothes Clean bedding sheets on day of procedure No exercise for at least 3 days Start morning A&D Ointment regimen Start night oil regimen the following night after procedure day Do not scratch or itch treated area On 3rd day, start washing the treated area with antiseptic and antibacterial soap Frequent cleaning prevents infection

First 4 Weeks After AppointmentAvoid exposure to sun Avoid the beach, pool, and jacuzzi for 30 days (healing period) in order to avoid sun exposure You can enjoy indoor pool or night time jacuzzi 7 days after healing Do not use body lotion on treated area, no matter how natural your lotion may be. Apply A&D Ointment every morning, if needed, it can be reapplied throughout the day. Apply oil every-night

What is henna?Henna is derived from the leaves of the henna plant called Lawsonia inermis, also known as henna tree.

Before TreatmentA patch test will be required before any henna service is perform on client. Please be sure to come to your appointment with bare brow, if possible free of makeup and oils on the brow area.

Post TreatmentKeep eyebrows completely dry for a minimum of 12hrs post-treatment. This is because the henna takes time to soak into the skin. Try to use oil-free makeup. This is because oil can cause the chemical bonds in henna to break down more quickly. No touching or rubbing the brow area during the first 24 to 48hrs after treatment. This can cause the henna to fade. Minimize sun exposure. Too much sun exposure can cause henna to fade or lighten the first 48hrs.

How Long Is The Service?Typically 45 minutes. During your appointment, we will also wax/trim and map out your brows to achieve your desired shape.

How Long Does Henna Last?Henna stains the skin up to 1-2 weeks and the hair for typically 6-8 weeks depending on the client's compliance to aftercare.

What Is The Difference Between Henna & Tint?Henna penetrates the follicles and stains the skin, so it lasts longer on the brows than tinting.

What Is Waxing?The process where hair is removed from the root using wax to adhere to the body hairs, removing the hair from the follicles.

Does It Hurt?Everyone's pain tolerance is different, discomfort varies.

How Often Should I Get Waxed?Every 4-6 weeks for best promising results.

Will Waxing Make My Hair Grow Back Thicker?Definitely not! The best part about waxing is that it actually does the quite opposite. The more you get waxed, the more the hair will become finer and softer overtime, also making your wax least painful.

Can I Wax While Pregnant?Yes, it is possible and is generally safe. However, when pregnant, it could cause more discomfort due to the increase of blood-flow making you more sensitive. We will make it our duty to make sure you’re super comfortable nonetheless, and will be more than happy to accommodate you and the baby during the process.

How Long Can I Expect My Wax To Last?Wax should last up to 1-2 weeks.

How Do I Prepare For My Wax Appointment?Exfoliating a few days prior to your appointment is always recommended. Be sure to come to your appointment thoroughly cleaned and moisturized. Stay free of excessive lotions and oils.

Can I Get Waxed On My Menstrual Cycle?Yes. Although your menstrual cycle will make you more sensitive, as long as you’re comfortable wearing a tampon, you’re all ready to be waxed!

Before AppointmentWe recommend that you eat at least 30 minutes before your appointment, as you won't be able to eat during your treatment since eating softens the enamel. Also, please make sure to floss and brush your teeth.

Post-OpAftercare instructions will be given upon arrival on how to care for your new whitened smile. Please be sure to floss and brush regularly.

How Long Does It Usually Last?Whitening can last up to 2-3 yrs or as little as 6 months. Depending on client maintenance, it varies from person to person.

When Will I See Results?You will see results right after your first session.

Is Professional Teeth Whitening Damaging To The Teeth?Professional teeth whitening will not damage the teeth.
